El Balcon de la Virgen is one of a kind in the city of Marbella. It's a place chosen by the people who love eating well, where they can find an outstanding example of cooking. Not in vain, since 1978 it offers to the visitors the best continental cuisine with the most traditional andalusian dishes. The establishment is located in one of the most majestic cities of the Spanish coast which enjoys an enviable weather and surrounds the Marbella's famous "Golden Mile". El Balcon de la Virgen is the restaurant preferred by the golfers.

Our History

A building full of history

The property where it's located is a building full of history. Its construction is dating from the XVI - XVII Centuries, and the main novelty are their walls of 1,50 meters thick, which have been intact until now. Also, inside there is a well of 25 meters deep, a testimony of another era. The upstairs of the restaurant is topped in the facade by a small chapel with The Virgin of Sorrows located in the balcony of the property. The rest of the facade is beautifully covered by a bougainvillaea planted in 1986 by Mr. Juan Vieytes Jose and Mr. Ricardo Lombardi Madrid, the first owners. Currently the bougainvillea is one the most recognizable element of the restaurant with its height of 11 meters.
